Stationery Timeline & Ordering Process
Below, we take a look into what makes a wedding invitation suite, what pieces need to be included, and what our wedding suite design process looks like step-by-step.
The Invitation Suite Pieces

1. Outer Envelope
The Outer Envelope is the very first piece that your guests see. It is the main layer of protection for your Save the Date and Invitation Suite
2. Save the Date
The Save the Date piece is mailed out 6-8 months before your invitation suite to allow guests to block off your date, and to make any preparations such as hotel bookings or plane tickets
3. Inner Envelope
The Inner Envelope is the second layer of protection for your invitation suite. It is included with formal invitation suites and is recommended for suites with embellishments such as wax seals or silk ribbon
4. Invitation Card
This is the main piece of your invitation suite. It tells your guests who is hosting the wedding, the wedding date and the location where it will be celebrated
5. Detail/Rehearsal Dinner Card
This card can be optional for some guests. It can include information about the Rehearsal Dinner, reception location, accommodation information, wedding activity schedule, wedding web address, and any other information that doesn’t fit on the main invitation card
6. Directions Card
This card can also be optional if the ceremony and reception are at the same location. This piece is very helpful to include for any guests unfamiliar with the area
7. RSVP Response
The RSVP card is an essential piece of your wedding suite, as it allows your guests to let you know whether they will be attending or not. It also allows your guests to let you know if they will be bringing a guest and what their meal preference is
8. RSVP Return Envelope
A stamped RSVP Return Envelope allows your guests to respond to your invitation in a timely manner
The Process
Below is our step-by-step process for designing and printing your dream wedding suite through our three stages: Consultation, Design and Production.
Our current turnaround time is 4-6 weeks
Please note that some customizations may add up to 4 weeks, as some of the artisans that we work with are located internationally
I. Consultation
1. Schedule a consultation call to discuss your wedding vision, budget, and suite options
2. Choose your suite pieces, printing process and any additional details to receive a personalized quote
3. After the retainer fee has been received, you will fill out a wedding detail questionnaire
II. Design
4. Your moodboard and invitation suite will be designed, digitized and sent to you for feedback
5. Based upon the feedback from your proofs, we will revise and tailor your suite until it is perfect
6. Once we have your dream suite designed, the final print approval will be sent to you to review
III. Production
7. After we receive your final approval, we will send your files to the print studio and start making your custom details
8. Upon receiving the final pieces, we will inspect each and every element for perfection
9. Once everything is inspected, we will ship your completed pieces to you for assembly and mailing.
If the Finishing option is added to your order, we will assemble and ship out your invitations from our PA location
